Technical SEO — Crawl, Speed & Indexation

The pages search engines can crawl, load & trust

Technical SEO is the engineering layer of search — making a site fast, crawlable, and indexable so the content you publish can actually rank. MarkAge360 measures Core Web Vitals, crawl budget, render, indexation, redirects, and schema against what search engines really see, then ships the fixes: render-blocking removed, status codes and canonicals corrected, structured data live — until crawl is clean, pages load fast, and everything passes green.

Technical SEO approach

We fix what search engines actually see.

A page that ranks first has to load, render, and index cleanly — or the content never gets its chance. We diagnose Core Web Vitals, crawl budget, render paths, indexation, redirects, and schema against the rendered page a crawler receives, ship the fixes that move the needle, and verify every metric passes green before we call it done.

Diagnose

Core Web Vitals, crawl budget, render, indexation, redirects, and schema measured against what search engines actually see — not what the page looks like in a browser.

Fix

Render-blocking removed, images and JS optimized, status codes and canonicals corrected, structured data shipped — each change verified against the live crawl.

Pass

Green Core Web Vitals, a clean crawl, and pages that load fast and index reliably — a Lighthouse score that climbs from the red into the 90s and stays there.

DIAGNOSE

Selected work

From red to green, we makepages load fast and index.

Crawl health, render performance, Core Web Vitals, indexation, and structured data stay connected while the technical work scrolls past.

+

Crawl & Render Audit

Log files, crawl coverage, render budget, and the rendered DOM are compared to what Googlebot actually receives — so we fix the page search engines see, not the one you do.

+

Core Web Vitals & Speed

LCP, CLS, and INP are profiled against field data, then render-blocking resources, images, and JavaScript are optimized until the page loads inside budget.

+

Indexation & Status Codes

Canonicals, robots directives, sitemaps, redirect chains, and 404s are corrected so crawl budget lands on the pages that should rank.

+

Structured Data & Schema

Schema is shipped as a repeatable template system, validated, and monitored so rich results stay eligible as the site grows.

-

Monitoring & Regression Guards

Vitals, crawl errors, and index coverage are tracked continuously, with alerts so a deploy never silently undoes a green pass.

Technical SEO FAQ

Questions beforeyou fix what crawlers see

Straight answers on crawlability, Core Web Vitals, indexation, and the green pass that follows.

What does technical SEO actually fix?

Technical SEO is the engineering layer of search — everything that decides whether a search engine can crawl, render, and index your pages before it ever judges your content. We work across crawl budget, render paths, Core Web Vitals, indexation, redirects, status codes, canonicals, and structured data. The goal is simple: make sure the page a crawler receives is fast, clean, and indexable so the content you publish can actually rank.

How is a technical SEO engagement priced?

We typically start with a fixed-fee audit scoped to your site’s size and stack, then move into a retainer or project for the implementation. Pricing tracks the real surface area — the number of templates, the CMS or framework, and how much of the fix work your engineering team owns versus ours. After the audit we give you a prioritised remediation plan with the effort and impact spelled out, so you’re never approving a blank cheque.

How long before I see results?

The audit and a prioritised fix list land in the first few weeks. Render and Core Web Vitals improvements show up in Lighthouse and field data almost immediately once shipped, while indexation and ranking changes follow the crawl cycle — usually weeks, not days, as search engines recrawl and reprocess the corrected pages. We sequence the highest-impact fixes first so the curve moves early rather than waiting for everything to be done.

How is technical SEO different from regular SEO?

Content and link-led SEO decide what you rank for; technical SEO decides whether you can rank at all. You can publish the best page on the topic and still lose if it’s blocked by robots rules, buried under render-blocking JavaScript, or served behind a redirect chain. We focus on the foundation — crawl, speed, indexation, and schema — so the content and authority work your team does isn’t wasted on pages search engines can’t properly see.

What tools and signals do you measure against?

We measure against what search engines actually see, not what the page looks like in a browser. That means Google Search Console’s index and Core Web Vitals reports, log-file and crawl data (Screaming Frog, Sitebundle-style crawlers), Lighthouse and field CrUX data, and the rendered DOM Googlebot receives. Schema is validated with the Rich Results Test. Every fix is verified against the live crawl rather than assumed.

How do you protect SEO during a migration or replatform?

Migrations are where rankings get lost, so we treat them as a controlled handover. Before launch we map every URL to its destination, preserve or correct canonicals and redirects (301s, never silent 302s), and freeze a baseline of indexation and vitals to compare against. After launch we monitor crawl errors, index coverage, and Core Web Vitals with alerts, so if a deploy quietly undoes a green pass we catch it before it costs traffic.
