Attribution Modeling

Credit every channel by what it actually drove

Attribution modeling connects every touchpoint a buyer crosses — ad, email, search, direct — to the pipeline and revenue it really influenced. MarkAge360 captures touchpoints across channels and devices on one identity, moves you beyond last-click to data-driven models that reflect the whole journey, and turns that into budget decisions grounded in true contribution — so the channels that build demand stop getting starved and the spend wasted on misattributed clicks comes back.

Attribution approach

We credit the whole journey, not the last click.

A conversion is the end of a path, not a single event — the buyer met your brand across an ad, an email, a search, and a direct visit before they bought. We capture every touchpoint on one identity, replace last-click with a data-driven model that distributes credit across the path, and re-rank channel ROI by true contribution — so budget follows what really drives the sale and the spend lost to misattribution comes back.

Track

Every touchpoint captured across channels and devices on one identity — clean events, stitched sessions, and a journey that holds together from first ad to conversion.

Model

Move beyond last-click to data-driven models that distribute credit across the whole path — reflecting what really drove the sale, not just the touch that happened to be last.

Attribute

Credit, ROI, and budget decisions based on true contribution — channel ROI re-ranks, wasted spend surfaces, and money moves to what actually compounds pipeline.

TRACK

Selected work

From touchpoints to truth, wecredit channels by contribution.

Identity, event capture, model selection, channel ROI, and budget decisions stay connected while the attribution work scrolls past.

+

Identity & Touchpoint Capture

Cross-channel, cross-device events stitched to one identity — a clean journey where every ad, email, search, and visit is accounted for.

+

Model Selection & Fit

We test last-click, position-based, time-decay, and data-driven models against your data, then choose the one that reflects how buying actually happens.

+

Credit Distribution & Weights

Credit is distributed across the path, not dumped on the last touch — assisting channels finally show the demand they really created.

+

Incrementality & Validation

Holdout and lift tests keep the model honest about causal contribution, so credit reflects real influence rather than tracked coincidence.

Channel ROI & Budget Decisions

Re-ranked channel ROI feeds budget shifts and reporting against revenue, so wasted spend is reclaimed and the next allocation is obvious.

Attribution Modeling FAQ

Questions aboutwhat really drove the sale

Straight answers on attribution models, what it costs, and the budget decisions that follow.

What is attribution modeling and what's included?

Attribution modeling is the practice of crediting each marketing channel by its true contribution to a sale, instead of handing all the credit to the last click. We capture every touchpoint — ad, email, search, direct — stitched to one identity, then apply a model that distributes credit across the whole journey. The engagement covers identity and event capture, model selection and fit, credit distribution, incrementality validation, and the channel-ROI and budget reporting that comes out of it.

How is attribution modeling priced?

We scope it by the complexity of your data — how many channels feed the journey, how clean your tracking already is, and whether we're building the data foundation or modeling on top of one that exists. MarkAge360 typically runs a fixed-fee build to get capture and modeling live, then a lighter monthly retainer to keep the model honest and the reporting current. We give you a clear scope and number before any work starts, with no per-conversion surcharges.

How long does it take to stand up a working model?

A first usable model is usually live within a few weeks once we have access to your analytics, ad platforms, and conversion data. Data-driven models need enough conversion volume and history to be trustworthy, so we're transparent early about whether you have the volume for one yet or should start with a rules-based model. We treat the first model as a starting point and tune it as more path data accumulates.

How is this different from last-click attribution?

Last-click hands every dollar of credit to the final touch before purchase, which flatters bottom-funnel channels and starves the ads, content, and email that actually built the demand. We move you to a model that distributes credit across the path the buyer really took, so assisting channels show the contribution they earned. The result is a channel-ROI ranking you can trust to move budget, rather than one that quietly rewards the same few channels every time.

Which platforms and tools do you work with?

We work across GA4 and its data-driven attribution, the native attribution in Google Ads and Meta, and warehouse-level modeling in BigQuery or your data warehouse when you need control beyond what the platforms expose. For capture we lean on clean event tracking and server-side tagging so identity holds together across devices. We fit the stack to what you already run rather than forcing a rip-and-replace.

How do you handle privacy, consent, and cookie loss?

Attribution lives or dies on data you're allowed to collect, so we build capture around consent and respect the choices visitors make. As third-party cookies and signal loss erode click-level tracking, we lean on first-party events, server-side capture, and modeled paths to keep the picture honest where raw tracking goes dark. We validate the model with holdout and lift tests so credit reflects real influence rather than gaps in the data.
