Server-Side Tracking & Signal Recovery

Measurement that survives the browser

Server-side tracking moves event collection off the fragile browser and into a container you control — so ITP, cookie caps, and ad-blockers stop quietly deleting your conversions. MarkAge360 builds server-side GTM, Meta CAPI, and Google enhanced conversions as one consent-aware system: first-party events, deduplicated and hashed, delivered to every ad platform with match quality the browser could never reach.

Tracking approach

We recover the signal the browser throws away.

Modern browsers are built to delete tracking — ITP caps cookies, blockers drop pixels, and consent gates strip context. We move measurement off the page and into a server container you own: first-party events collected once, applied against consent, hashed for privacy, and delivered to every ad platform with the match quality that recovers the conversions client-side tracking was quietly losing.

Tag · first-party events

We collect clean, first-party events that do not depend on fragile browser tracking — a single, well-defined event layer instead of pixels that ITP and blockers can delete.

Server · container you own

A server-side container owns the data, applies consent, deduplicates against the browser, and hashes PII — the privacy-safe hub that enriches every event before it leaves your own servers.

Match · high-quality delivery

Enriched events reach Meta CAPI, GA4, and Google Ads with high match quality — recovering the conversions ITP and blockers were hiding, so bidding optimises on the truth.

Selected work

From browser to platform, wedeliver the events that convert.

Event design, the server container, consent logic, deduplication, and match-quality reporting stay connected while the tracking work scrolls past.

+

Measurement Audit & Event Map

Current pixels, data layer, and signal loss are audited, then a single first-party event schema is mapped to the conversions that actually drive revenue.

+

Server Container & Routing

A server-side GTM container on your own subdomain owns the data and routes enriched events to Meta CAPI, GA4, and Google Ads.

+

Consent, Hashing & Privacy

Consent Mode states gate collection, PII is SHA-256 hashed, and regional rules are applied so the system is durable and compliant by design.

+

Deduplication & Match Quality

Event IDs deduplicate browser and server hits, while email, phone, and click IDs are passed to lift event match quality on every platform.

-

QA, Monitoring & Reporting

Test events, dedupe checks, and match-quality scores are monitored and reported against recovered conversions, so the win is measured — not assumed.

Server-Side Tracking FAQ

Tracking that thebrowser can’t delete

Straight answers on server-side GTM, Meta CAPI and consent handling, and the conversions you recover.

What is server-side tracking and what’s included?

Server-side tracking moves event collection off the browser and into a container you control, so ITP, cookie caps, and ad-blockers stop quietly deleting your conversions. We build the whole system: a server-side GTM container on your own subdomain, a single first-party event schema, Meta Conversions API (CAPI), Google enhanced conversions, and GA4 delivery — with consent logic, deduplication, and PII hashing wired in. You get one measurement layer feeding every ad platform instead of fragile pixels.

How is a server-side tracking project priced?

We scope each engagement to your stack, so pricing depends on how many destinations you send to (Meta, Google Ads, GA4, TikTok, and so on), the complexity of your events, and whether you already run a tag manager. Most engagements are a fixed build fee plus a small monthly figure for the server container hosting and ongoing match-quality monitoring. We share the full scope and cost before any work starts — no usage-based surprises.

How long does it take to set up?

A typical server-side build runs a few weeks from kickoff to live, validated tracking. We start with a measurement audit and event map, stand up and configure the server container, then run a validation phase where we confirm events deduplicate correctly against the browser and match quality climbs in each platform. Larger setups with many destinations or custom consent requirements take longer, and we’ll give you a dated plan up front.

How is this different from the browser pixel I already have?

A browser pixel fires from the visitor’s page, where Safari’s ITP caps cookies to seven days, ad-blockers drop the request, and consent gates strip context — so 20–40% of conversions can never reach the platform. Server-side tracking collects the event once on your own server, applies consent, hashes PII, and sends it directly to each platform’s API. We usually keep the browser pixel running alongside and deduplicate, so you get the best of both rather than double-counting.

Which platforms and tools do you use?

We build on server-side Google Tag Manager hosted on your own subdomain, and deliver to Meta Conversions API, Google Ads enhanced conversions, and GA4 as standard. We also connect destinations like TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and Snap Events APIs where they matter to your media mix. The container stays yours, so you keep ownership of the data and we’re not the single point of failure.

How do you handle consent and data privacy?

Consent is built into the container, not bolted on. We read the visitor’s consent state before any event leaves your server, suppress or strip data accordingly, and hash personal identifiers with SHA-256 before they reach any platform. Because collection runs on infrastructure you own, you control retention and exactly what is shared — which makes honouring GDPR, CCPA, and platform data-use terms far cleaner than browser-only tracking.
