Education growth system

Enrollment, built as a system

We build demand engines for universities, edtech platforms, test-prep brands and training institutes — where discovery, trust, counselling and conversion have to work as one motion, not four campaigns.

We were introducing an olympiad nobody had heard of, to one of the hardest audiences to win over. The MarkAge360 team understood our students better than we did, and built a launch that genuinely connected. We cleared every target we set — and registrations kept coming well after the event. A calm, sharp team that did exactly what they said they would.

Education FAQ

Questions we get asked about education marketing

What this costs, which channels carry the category, how long it takes, and what we report on when the usual metrics do not fit.

How much does it cost to acquire a student through digital marketing?

Cost per enrolled student varies far more by institution than by channel. Published higher-education benchmarks put domestic programs in the low thousands of dollars and international recruitment at several times that, on a 12-18 month cycle. Most of that spread is conversion, not media price. We report cost per qualified inquiry and cost per application start next to cost per enrolment, because those are the two numbers an admissions team can actually move inside a single intake.

Which digital marketing channels work best for student recruitment?

Search captures students already comparing programs, content carries the long research phase before that, and paid social builds the awareness that makes both cheaper. The channel that decides most intakes is the one institutions run worst: lifecycle. Email and WhatsApp between inquiry and application is where the drop-off actually happens. We run discovery, counselling and nurture as one motion rather than three separate budgets with three separate reports.

How long does education marketing take to show results?

Inquiry volume and cost per lead move within four to eight weeks. Enrolment does not, because it is bound to your intake calendar, so the honest horizon for the number that matters is one full admissions cycle. We set interim checkpoints on application starts and counsellor-qualified inquiries so you are not waiting on a single annual figure to find out whether the system works.

What is the difference between lead generation and enrolment marketing?

Lead generation ends at a submitted form. Enrolment marketing owns everything after it: scoring the inquiry before it reaches a counsellor, sequencing follow-up around the real decision unit of student, parent and sponsor, and measuring against matriculation rather than volume. An agency selling leads is optimising the cheapest form fill. The two produce very different cost per enrolment even when cost per lead looks identical.

Do you work with edtech and test-prep brands as well as universities?

Yes. Universities, edtech platforms, test-prep brands and training institutes all sit inside this vertical, and the system changes with the sales motion. A degree program is a long, parent-influenced decision. A test-prep purchase is short and self-directed. Edtech usually needs trial and activation mechanics closer to SaaS than to admissions. The positioning, the funnel and the scoreboard change accordingly.

How do you improve lead quality for admissions teams?

By qualifying before the CRM rather than after it. Program-level entry points instead of brand-level ones, intent-matched landing pages, and scoring that reads declared program, intake and eligibility mean counsellors open a queue that is already ranked. The measurable effect shows up in counsellor time per enrolment: fewer conversations, a higher share of them real.
